A Modern Bahay Kubo- Inspired Cabin

          Bahay Kalinaw, or Serenity Home is a housing project situated in the province of Pampanga. The concept of modernized Bahay Kubo creates a modern design which fits the tropical climate of the Philippines.

          The following are the solution and strategies inspired by design of Bahay Kubo incorporated in this design:
          ● providing cross ventilation;
          ● raising the floor and placing the house on stilts for flooding & could allow ventilation from below;
          ● wide eaves to prevent passage of harsh sunlight/ for effective sun shading; &
          ● providing an open interior.
